Save the date: Holiday Open House
We are less than a month away from our annual Holiday Open House! Please join on Saturday, November 6th from 10am to 5pm for a celebration of the season! We’ll have refreshments, holiday decor, a few workshops and classes (chalk painting ornaments!) raffles, and more! We are very excited to get into the spirit of the season, and hope you can join us. You can follow the event on Facebook for updates, too!
| Chalk Paint is always in stock, and classes are now available! We have a few chalk paint classes scheduled for October. On Sunday 10/17, we’ll be doing stenciling with a Halloween twist, using chalk paint to do some seasonal decorating on pillows! And on Sunday 10/24, we’ll be dying fabric with chalk paint and using it to make some autumn wreaths! All classes are $80, and run from 11am to 3pm. Halloween is here!
We are loving all the Halloween and fall decor that has arrived lately! Vintage Halloween – especially the old jack-o-lanterns – were some of Sue’s favorite vintage items, so it’s nice to have such a fun reminder of her spirit this time of year! We are also SUPER into the ‘blow mold’ trend that is taking off right now, and have seen some very cool ones come through the shop this year.
Dealer spotlight!
Our ‘dealer spotlight’ for this month is Christine, #66! Nine years ago, while she was working on her teaching credential at Chapman, she would shop in the vintage shops in Old Town Orange – it was those shopping adventure that led to wanting to start her own small business. She loves and specializes in drinkware, old religious artifacts, natural oddities, gypsy vibes and 1950s holidays decor. Come in and check out her spaces – she is both inside and in our garden!
| Treats in the Streets is back! On Thursday, October 28th, the Old Town Orange tradition of “Treats in the Street” will be returning! From 4pm to 7pm the streets are filled with trick or treaters, craft booths and more! Come on down and check it out; we’ll be closing at 5pm, but will be outside passing out candy into the later hours. |
